How to find us

We are located in Newcastle City Centre, underneath the Tyne Bridge. The road called 'Side' that leads to our shop is now closed to traffic. There is an alternative route to get to us. Click on the find us button for a map. Here are the written directions.

From Gateshead and the South:
Follow the signs for Newcastle City centre. Go over the Tyne Bridge and take the first exit on the left which takes you onto the 55° North (Swan House) roundabout.

From Newcastle and the North:
Take the Central Motorway, or any other road, to the 55° North (Swan House) roundabout.

From the 55° North (Swan House) roundabout.
Take the City Road exit signposted Riverside Route Quayside and Law Courts. This is the exit before the Tyne Bridge. After a few hundred metres turn right at Melbourne House, and then left following the sign for Quayside and Law Courts, you are still on City Road. Go to the bottom of the road, and turn right at the 2nd set of lights onto the Quayside.

Head for the Tyne Bridge (the green one) and just before you drive underneath it, turn right into Lombard Street. Drive on round the corner to the left into Queen Street and then turn sharp right into Akenside Hill. Newcastle Drum Centre is on the right.

From Gateshead and the South - via the Redheugh Bridge
Take the first left exit from the bridge signposted Metro Radio Arena and then left at the roundabout signed Quayside B1600. Stay on this road past the Centre for Life on your left, the road bears right and drops down to the Quayside.

Pass the Copthorne Hotel on your right and keep going along Quayside until you approach the Tyne Bridge (the green one). As you pass under the bridge take an immediate left into Lombard Street. Drive on round the corner to the left into Queen Street and then turn sharp right into Akenside Hill. Newcastle Drum Centre is on the right.

The closure of 'Side' is part of the Quayside Transit Scheme which will provide an alternative to private car journeys to both Newcastle and Gateshead Quaysides. More details of this transport initiative can be found here.

Newcastle Drum Centre Ltd

Newcastle upon Tyne

For security and customer service reasons, we would not recommend sending your credit card details via e mail.

Delivery

If we have the goods in stock and take your order before 3.00pm, we will usually get the goods to you the following working day, this applies to the UK mainland only of course. We use a nationwide carrier who states delivery to be between 9.00am and 5.30pm. The delivery requires a signature so there will need to be someone at the delivery address to take receipt of the goods.

Our delivery charges are free on goods over £250 and are charged at cost below that amount. For example an item weighing up to 20 kilos will cost around £9.50.

Guaranteed overnight delivery
Price Match Price Match

We always aim to offer our products at competitive prices.

If you find a genuine cheaper U.K. based quote, contact us and we'll endeavour to beat any prices you have been given.

Low cost finance

We are pleased to be able to offer, subject to terms and conditions, a low cost finance service to all customers, including mail order customers, who are aged 18 and over.

This means that you can call us and we can process a finance agreement without the need for you to come into the shop.

But I don't use e-mail software?

If you have a Hotmail, Yahoo etc., account and use a browser for e-mail you will not be able to use the 'e-mail for details buttons'. Why don't you have ..

... one of those 'Shopping Cart' things?

'Shopping Carts' on web sites are very useful - if you know what you want. They are great if you are buying a book or a CD, but at Newcastle Drum Centre we like to offer a personal service. Instead of simply ordering from a 'Shopping Cart' site, we prefer to offer you as much help and advice as you need to ensure that you buy the equipment that is right for you. It also enables us to offer you the best prices possible for your purchases.

What if ..
... The goods are damaged or incorrect?

If you notice any damage to the boxes or goods when you take delivery, please make mention of it on the delivery note you are signing and contact us to let us know. If you open the goods after signing for them and notice any damage or shortfall/error please let us know as soon as possible. We will arrange to have the goods in question returned to us and issue a suitable replacement in the shortest possible time.

... Something goes wrong with the goods?

Most equipment is covered for a year or more under warranty with the exception of replaceable items such as drum heads and sticks. If you have any problems with your purchase, get in touch with us. If the goods are under cover, we will find the most efficient way to solve the problem by either sending out the needed repairs or arranging for the goods to be returned for inspection / replacement.

If the goods are not covered under warranty, we will offer the same service as above and and charge you only for parts and carriage where applicable.

... You need some advice?

Some people know their gear and others don't know a drumhead from a drumstick. Ask us! We are all players ourselves and have had to ask all these questions at one time or another. If you don't know which way up it goes or what it's called get in contact and we'll do our best to sort it out.

Terms and Conditions

The customer has the right to a seven day cooling off period during which the customer may cancel the order for any reason. In this event the Newcastle Drum Centre will charge the customers the cost of delivery to the customer and collection from the customer, if arranged by us.

On cancellation of the contract, the customer is required to return the goods to us, the supplier, in an unused state, and to take "reasonable care" of the goods when in their possession. This obligation applies before as well as after the consumer has given notice of cancellation.

To exercise this right to cancel the customer must inform us, the supplier, in writing within seven days. The goods should be returned within seven days of the cancellation. This can be arranged by the customer or by us the supplier. The customer will be reimbursed the purchase price of the equipment less the original delivery and subsequent collection costs. This will be done as soon as possible and certainly no later than 30 days of receiving the returned goods.

What does 'in stock' mean?

At Newcastle Drum Centre, in stock means we have it here, in the shop, now, and goods are ready for despatch on an overnight basis. In the unlikely event we do not have an item in stock, we'll advise you at the point of order exactly how long the goods will take to arrive at your door.
